Innovative design and building solutions are credited with creating an impressive post and beam home, while disguising integral structural elements required to build on the challenging alpine terrain - including 8' x 5' pad footings, foundation grade beams, and over 100 metres of concrete to overcome an existing gabion wall situated on a 45 degree slope.
A feature wall of natural 'Montana Rock' leads the eye from foyer to double bi-parting sliding glass doors exposing the expansive ski runs beyond. A repeat of rock anchors the great room, where 20 foot windows flood parallel lines of light across 100-year old reclaimed pine flooring.
