RiverBend Seniors Community is the result of a one-of-a-kind collaboration between BC Housing, River City Seniors Society (formerly Thrupp Manor Society) and private developers A & T Project Developments Inc. and Quinn Developments Ltd. This 164,000-square-foot facility, on 3 acres of riverfront in Brocklehurst, addresses the need for quality-built social housing, and affordable seniors housing, in an area that is accessible and pedestrian friendly with many nearby amenities.
RiverBend Seniors Community was the winner of multiple awards at this years Canadian Home Builders' Association Central Interior Keystone Awards. The project took Gold Awards in the following categories: Best Public/Private Partnership, Best Sales Person in New Home Construction, Best Print Advertising Project and a Silver Award for Best Multi-Family Development.
